Sr Software Development Engineer - Query Processing, DBS Redshift

• Participate in the design and development of state-of-the-art SQL query processing engines

We are searching for Software Development Engineers with passion for building easy to use large-scale enterprise cloud software optimized for massive query execution. If you are motivated by the fact that your code helps thousands of the world biggest companies to run millions of SQL queries smoothly and with high performance through our distributed cloud system - this role is for you!, * Experience (non-internship) in professional software development

• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team

BEVORZUGTE QUALIFIKATIONEN

• Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

• Define query rewrite rules and optimize query execution time in distributed databases.
• Participate in code and design reviews to maintain our high development standards.
• Operate a large-scale, distributed service in the cloud.
