Job description

  • Coordinate the international open-source developer scverse community
  • Organize regular online community meetings
  • Support online & in person events such as community hackathons, conferences, and workshops
  • Curate social media content and blog posts of events and software releases
  • Improve the scverse visual identity and branding
  • Implement, manage, and support academic & corporate sponsorship programs
  • Collaborate with scientists to develop a workshop curriculum

Requirements

  • BSc or MSc-level university degree, preferably in the natural sciences, health, computational field or similar
  • Team-player with demonstrable experience in scientific project management
  • Attention to detail and the ability to diligently manage a broad range of different responsibilities in your own time
  • Excellent communicator with verbal and written fluency in English
  • Ability to work independently within an international team and environment, * Background in computational biology or computer science
  • Extra training in public communication, project management or social media
  • Existing experience with open source communities
  • Experience with graphic design and video editing

Benefits & conditions

If you fulfill all the requirements, you may be eligible for a salary grade of up to E 13. Social benefits are based on the Collective Wage Agreement for Public-Sector Employees (TVöD).
