Software Systems Architect - AI

• Guide the design and implementation of agentic solutions, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) applications, and other advanced AI capabilities, ensuring best practices across a variety of AI development platforms.
• Drive innovation and future readiness by evaluating emerging Azure and AI technologies, running PoCs, and recommending strategic adoption paths for the group.
• Enable cross-company AI solution and platform adoption by defining reusable patterns and onboarding frameworks that accelerate integration, AI usage, and the adoption of agentic and generative AI technologies.
• Support developers in delivery by providing clear documentation, reusable components, Model & Software Lifecycle management, mentoring, and hands-on guidance to accelerate solution development and reduce friction.
• Proactively manage risk and technical debt by embedding architectural guardrails, conducting design reviews, and ensuring solutions including agentic and RAG-based architectures remain compliant, cost-effective, and adaptable.

• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, engineering, data science or related field
• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in IT Architecture roles with strong focus on data, machine learning, business process digitization and operational qualities
• Proven experience in AI Solution Architect or similar role designing and implementing modern architectures using domain driven design, APIs, workflows and microservices styles in context of a platform centric ecosystem and SaaS solutions.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java/.net, as well as familiarity with AI frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch). Ideally Azure AI Factory experience.
• Experience in Agile, Lean and MLOps and DevOps based delivery models. Ability to adopt Product oriented mindset in context of regulated enterprise context
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to diverse audiences, including business and technical stakeholders at all levels.
• Solid spoken and written in English and German (is a plus)
