SAP/IT Integration Architect & Application Owner

Key Facts: SAP - Microsoft Integration Architecture, SAP ECC / S/4HANA, Integration Owner & SAP Application Owner, Coordination of SAP development activities, End-to-end Integration Projects, SAP RFC / API / CDS Views, SAP Variant Configuration (LO-VC / AVC), Hybrid Cloud Integration, in Baden/home office.

Main tasks:

• Design and implement integration architectures between SAP (ECC/S/4HANA) and the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Microsoft Fabric (Data Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, general ETL frameworks).

• Lead end-to-end integration initiatives: requirements gathering, architecture design, development, testing, and deployment.

• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to development teams, ensuring stable, secure, and reliable integration scenarios.

• Collaborate closely with SAP Basis, ABAP, and functional teams to ensure optimal technology choices, compatibility, and performance.

• Define governance, compliance, and security standards for integration solutions.

• Optimize data pipelines and delta-logic using Microsoft Fabric technologies or Azure Integration Services.

• Extend Dataverse environments through Custom APIs or plugin development (C#) to support seamless integration flows.

• Coordinate SAP development activities, such as Custom RFCs, custom APIs, and CDS Views.

• Stay up to date with integration capabilities, best practices, and roadmaps across Microsoft and SAP.

• Own all integration topics between SAP and the Microsoft Dataverse landscape.

• Coordinate the support team responsible for monitoring integrations and resolving issues.

In the Role of SAP Application Owner (Product Specification & Variant Configuration)

• Oversee delivery of development tasks, sprints, and service packs in alignment with platform owners and project managers.

• Oversee continuous development, optimization, and support of the application in close alignment with business stakeholders.

• Consult, capture, analyze, and evaluate business requirements.

• Coordinate change requests and manage implementation with internal specialists and external partners.

• Ensure data consistency and high data quality.

• Plan, prepare, and execute functional and integration tests.

• Deep understanding of SAP ECC and/or S/4HANA architectures, data models, and integration technologies (IDocs, BAPIs, RFCs, OData/API services).

• Solid experience with Microsoft Fabric Dataflows or Azure Integration Services (Logic Apps) and earlier technologies such as BizTalk, SSIS, or SAP PI.

• Degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable field.

• Good understanding of technical products and their representation within SAP.

• Knowledge of modeling variant products in SAP LO-VC and AVC.

• Familiarity with the SAP classification system and characteristics management.

• Practical experience with Microsoft Power Platform (Power Automate, Model-Driven Apps, Dataverse).

• Experience with the Azure integration stack: API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Functions, Logic Apps.

• Experience working with Azure DevOps.

• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing SAP-to-Microsoft integration scenarios.

• Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premise integration models.

• Knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (OAuth, SAML, Azure AD).

• Understanding of ETL/ELT principles and data modeling.

• Experience in agile environments and a strong DevOps mindset.

• Fluent in German and English.
