Job description

AI:AT - the AI Factory Austria - provides access to cutting-edge AI infrastructure, promotes trustworthy AI and ethical standards, and serves as a hub for networking with national and European partners. The goal is to work with partners from industry and public institutions to develop and implement forward-looking AI technologies and viable AI solutions., * You provide end-to-end technical support for partner projects.

  • You support the implementation of the service catalog for the AI infrastructure, model development, data pipelines, evaluation, MLOps, and trustworthy AI.

  • You contribute to the development of hands-on reference workflows (LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, AI agents, MLOps templates).

  • You assist in operating CI/CD, orchestration, and monitoring systems on HPC and hybrid clouds.

  • You apply trustworthy AI practices, including bias, privacy, and security checks.

  • You cooperate with partner organisations to develop training programs, workshops or tutorials.

Requirements

  • Completed degree (MSc.) in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field
  • Knowledge of Python, ML frameworks, and cloud / HPC environments
  • Initial practical experience in MLOps: Docker/Kubernetes, GitOps, MLflow/Kubeflow
  • Experience with HPC schedulers (e.g., SLURM) and hybrid cloud architectures
  • Enthusiasm for building reliable, scalable, and trustworthy AI systems
  • Self-driven, structured, and eager to learn and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Excellent language skills in English, German would be an advantage
  • You should be eligible for working in Austria

Benefits & conditions

  • A key function in a visionary field of the future with high social and economic relevance.
  • The gross annual salary starts at EUR 55.482,-- as a minimum according to the non-university collective agreement. The actual total salary package is determined individually according to your qualifications and experience.
  • The position will be funded by the AI Factory Austria (until June 2028). An extension beyond this period may be possible depending on future project developments.
